On April 27, 2017 within the frameworks of the new project Public support to reform the laws for parliamentary elections”, UCIPR will hold a one-day seminar intended to develop communication strategy to push up on the agenda the legislation providing for the proportional voting system with the "open lists".
It is expected that the communication strategy will be developed with the support of experts from the Group on Reform of Electoral Law of RPR that includes representatives of the "OPORA", "Institute of Electoral Laws", "Human Rights Platform", "Internews-Ukraine" and UCIPR. Strategic planning session will also involve representatives of IFES, CenterUA and Center for Political and Legal Reforms.
"Public support to reform the laws for parliamentary elections" project is implemented by UCIPR with the support from CSO "Center for Democracy and Rule of Law" within the frameworks of the project "Strengthening the RPR Coalition" funded by the European Commission (Program "Support to Civil Society in Ukraine"). Objectives of the Project are to draw public attention to the need to reform the electoral laws; to establish communication between the public and the stakeholders; to provide the public with unbiased information on the merits of existing draft laws governing parliamentary elections and currently pending in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The Project has been implemented March 1 – September 30, 2017.
